Congratulation!

Once more it is time to celebrate the next generation of bachelor and master degrees.
Next semester it's my turn. But for today let's enjoy these impressions.

'WIRF DEINEN SCHATTEN'  - One paticular student took those words literally and based his project around the shadows casted long ago by the great architect Le Corbusier.

Here it is:

Yet this student choose another motto for her design of an interactive museum for children based in Amsterdam.

Though it would take several minutes only to briefly flick through all the fotos I took, here are a few more for those who have the capacity to see some more.

FINALLY IT'S DONE!

THANK YOU ALL FOR LETTING ME TAKE YOUR PICTURES AND ALL THE BEST WISHES FOR WHAT COMES NEXT!

Refugees Welcome

Two semesters ago I had the opportunity to be one of the first architecture students, at least in Germany, who was asked to work on proper, dignified accomodations for refugees.
Even though it was only a 'mental exercise' the seminar had a big influence on the following debates concerning solutions on how to accomodate thousands of refugees not only seeking shelter in Germany but all over Europe.

Prof. Jörg Friedrich, Dean of the Department of Architecture and Landscape, and his staff took the results of that seminar and published a book called `REFUGEES WELCOME'. Now he is giving speeches like this one at the Leibniz University Hanover.
